Treatment Options
All patient arrives to ICU after suicidal ingestion of poison, requires urgent gastric lavage to avoid absorption of medicine from stomach.
Should be given activated charcoal to bind with poison and avoid its absorption.
Specific antidotes should be given after initial resuscitation.
In cases with severe poisoning with multiorgan involvement requires ventilatory management as well as dialysis.
