Care & Diagnosis
Cerebro vascular accident (ischemic stroke and intracranial hemorrhage). Common cause of mortality and morbidity in geriatric age group.
For better clinical outcome for the patient’s presenting within early hours of ischemic stroke can be given thrombolysis treatment for better outcome.
For major intra cranial hemorrhage immediate decompressive craniectomy required, post operatively patient requires ventilatory support.
Status epilepticus is a condition in which persistent seizure despite treatment, requires urgent intervention in form of intravenous anesthetic agents and ventilatory management.
Neuro muscular disorder like Guillain-Barré syndrome and Myasthenia gravis in acute crisis situation along with respiratory muscle involvement requires mechanical ventilation and intravenous immunoglobulin and plasmapheresis.
